Bronwyn Esmonde-White, also known as Lady Luck, is a left-hand path enthusiast, geeky metalhead, and unapologetic lover of all things dark and macabre. Her passion for the eerie and the offbeat permeates every aspect of her life, from her unique tattoo designs to her everyday choices. Specializing in macabre black and grey tattoos, Japanese styles, blackwork, and all things that give off a wicked vibe, Lady Luck’s work is as dark and detailed as the underworld itself.
But don’t be fooled—she’s got a versatile side too, able to adapt to any client’s vision, whether it’s a sleeve full of gothic creatures or pink fluffy unicorns doing a little dance on a rainbow (yes, she can do that too!).
When she’s not wielding a tattoo machine and transforming skin into art, you’ll likely find Miss Luck holed up in her B!tch Cave, a cozy sanctuary where she dives into her love of painting, immerses herself in comic book worlds, or lives out multiple alternate realities through her extensive gaming adventures. Bronwyn “Lady Luck” Esmonde-White’s journey into the world of tattooing began long before she ever picked up a needle. Growing up, she was captivated by the art form while watching her father endure the tattoo chair. At the tender age of 17, she had her first tattoo and, like a moth to a flame, began haunting tattoo studios. These early experiences ignited a burning passion that would only grow stronger with time. By 19, she made the bold decision to pursue an apprenticeship in her hometown of Port Elizabeth, eager to turn her fascination into a craft.
After completing her apprenticeship, she spread her wings, working in Port Elizabeth before eventually making her mark in Johannesburg and Cape Town. With over a decade of experience, Bronwyn has honed her craft to perfection, blending a dark, macabre sense of humor with her versatile skills. Whether it’s a twisted design or a beautifully executed piece, her work showcases a unique blend of morbidity and wit. Adaptable to any client’s vision, she has an uncanny ability to breathe life into ink, creating pieces that feel as though they were pulled from the darkest corners of the imagination—yet somehow, you’ll want them forever etched on your skin.
